The new Porsche Macan GTS on the road

A newly developed, turbocharged four-cylinder in-line engine with 195 kW accompanies the entry into the world of the Macan. With this, the standard sprint is achieved in 6.2 seconds, and a top speed of 232 km/h is reached. As before, all engines are coupled to the Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) with seven gears and the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel drive system. The new Macan models also offer a wide range between maximum suspension comfort and dynamic sports car performance. The chassis has been further optimized: The Macan now responds even more sensitively and directly to the driving situation and road conditions and provides even better feedback to the driver via the steering wheel. Among other things, the damper characteristics of the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system have been adapted to the specific model. It actively and continuously regulates the damping force for each individual wheel. PASM is optional on the Macan and standard on the S and GTS models. The Macan GTS now differentiates itself from the other derivatives even more than before with the new standard sport air suspension with lowering of the body by ten millimeters. The driving dynamics advantages of the new GTS lie primarily in the air suspension, which is ten percent stiffer at the front axle and 15 percent stiffer at the rear axle than its predecessor. The optional GTS Sport package further enhances the driving dynamics potential with 21-inch GT Design wheels with performance tires, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) and the Sport Chrono package.
