Hyundai Motor is launching comprehensive connectivity and design enhancements for the new IONIQ, the latest edition of its revolutionary eco-friendly model. As of its launch in 2016, IONIQ was the world's first car planned from the start to offer three electrified powertrains - hybrid, plug-in hybrid and full electric. The Hyundai IONIQ is now already upgrading its offer, with added technological features and a refreshed look. Hyundai keeps leading the way in future mobility, as many other manufacturers are still planning or just launching their first eco-mobility vehicles. The new IONIQ features advanced Blue Link connectivity services, SmartSense active safety and driving assistance systems and state-of-the-art infotainment features. In addition, both the exterior and interior design receive updates, while drivers of the new IONIQ Electric can also enjoy 36% added energy capacity thanks to an upgraded 38.3-kWh battery.
The Bugatti Bolide is real
Incomparably fast, light, extreme. With the Bugatti Bolide presented a few weeks ago, Bugatti is once again pushing the boundaries of what is physically feasible. Never before has the French luxury brand designed such an uncompromising and racetrack-focused vehicle. The Bugatti Bolide serves as an experimental design study and technological knowledge carrier: In less than a year, the Bugatti designers and engineers create and develop the real and drivable technological concept vehicle, use new materials and manufacturing processes, and do virtual and real laps. They simulate maximum loads, acceleration and lap times
Mercedes-Benz is further expanding the possibility of keeping programs and systems in the vehicle up to date through updates over the air (OTA). What started with Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the USA in 2013 is standard for the MBUX infotainment system today. Some twelve million over-the-air updates have now been performed. Many MBUX customers around the world can visit the Mercedes me Store to book and add additional services and optional extras. With over-the-air updates, completely new features enter the vehicle that is already with the customer: updates turn into upgrades.
In April, Volkswagen presented the new evolutionary stage of the sixth Polo generation. This is now followed by the sportiest variant: the new Polo GTI. This car with the legendary abbreviation leads the way in the Polo segment in terms of power, technology and sportiness. The high-torque 207 PS TSI engine and the sports running gear adapted especially for the Polo GTI turn the best-selling small compact car into a dynamic sports car with four doors. As an option, it also permits partly automated driving for the first time in the Polo GTI. The iconic design of the visually and technically updated compact athlete is characterised by legendary GTI insignia, such as the red strip in the radiator grille, the honeycomb structure of the air intake grille and the premium sports seats with the typical Clark check pattern on the seat centre panels. Numerous latest-generation assist systems guarantee even more comfort and safety for all passengers. Like in the other members of the new Polo product line, it comes equipped with the latest version of the online Infotainment systems (MIB3.1). This means that the five-seater sports car is “always on” and top-level connectivity is available on request. For brilliant full-colour display of digital content, the new Polo GTI now comes as standard with the Digital Cockpit Pro with 10.25-inch display, as well as the Ready2Discover Infotainment system including App-Connect Wireless, online control unit (eSIM), features on demand and 8-inch touchscreen. Radio navigation systems with 9.2-inch touchscreen are also optionally available.
