Propulsion is taken over by two permanent magnet electric motors on the front and rear axles, which develop a system output of 300 kW (408 PS) and 660 Nm torque. The necessary energy is supplied by a 78 kWh battery, which can be charged to 80 percent within 40 minutes at fast charging stations. The expected range is around 420 kilometers (WLTP); this can probably be further improved over time through software updates. The fully electric Volvo C40 Recharge is sold exclusively online. The Swedish premium car manufacturer is concentrating on a few, popular equipment variants - an important measure in the effort to simplify the complexity of the model range. Customers also benefit from a comprehensive complete service package. The availability of the functions, offers and services described above may vary depending on the market. Range according to the WLTP cycle can vary under real conditions. Figures are based on preliminary target values. The final vehicle certification is still pending; production of the Volvo C40 Recharge will start in autumn 2021
