The new Nissan Qashqai - elegance and dynamism in design

Source: AutoMotoTV (Glomex)

As with the first two generations, the design for the new Nissan Qashqai was created in Nissan's European design studio in London. Visually, the new one remains an unmistakable Qashqai - and yet appears sharper, more modern, more well-trained. Striking shoulder lines, the larger wheelbase and impressive 20-inch light-alloy wheels, which are available for the first time in this series, give it more presence on the road. The wheelbase has grown by 20 mm compared to its predecessor, and the Qashqai has increased its length by 35 mm. There is 32 mm plus in width and a slight increase of 25 mm in height. The front section is characterized by an enlarged Nissan V-Motion radiator grille with a chrome finish and an additional stripe in satined chrome. The radiator grille is flanked by narrow full-LED matrix headlights with boomerang daytime running lights. The narrow spaces between these details give the front section a high-quality and precise appearance. When viewed from the side, the new Qashqai now looks even more athletic and dynamic. A single "fast line" stretches from the front to the rear and not only ensures horizontal stability, but also a dash of dynamism. While its predecessor had a maximum of 19-inch wheels, the new generation of the Qashqai is available for the first time with 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. These completely fill the wheelhouses and contribute to the robust look
