The pure-electric Battista took home the prize judged by an experienced panel including Founder Ginny Buckley and fellow TV presenters and journalists Nicki Shields and Tom Ford. The award comes as the Battista prototype testing and development program nears completion, and selected clients globally experience the most powerful road car ever built in Italy. The win follows the recent launch of Automobili Pininfarina London, increasing the company's global footprint with the appointment of Jardine Motors Group as its London and the southern UK retail partner. Meanwhile, potential clients were offered the exclusive opportunity to take to the passenger seat of the Battista hyper GT at Goodwood Motor Circuit to get their first feel of the car’s exceptional dynamics.
Volvo C40 Recharge Studio
The future of Volvo Cars is electric and the new Volvo C40 Recharge is the latest manifestation of its commitment to a zero emission future. The C40 Recharge has all the benefits of an SUV but with a lower and sleeker design. It is based on the CMA vehicle platform and the first Volvo model in history designed as pure electric only. Following the introduction of the XC40 Recharge and now the C40 Recharge, Volvo Cars will roll out several additional electric models in coming years. Already by 2025, it aims for 50 per cent of its global sales volume to consist of fully electric cars, with the rest hybrids. By 2030, it plans for every car it sells to be pure electric.
The Mercedes‑Benz Sprinter City 75 is the pride of the Mercedes‑Benz minibuses for regular-service bus routes. This is illustrated not only by the asymmetrical body design and the distinctive wheelbase, but also by the paint finish of the test vehicle, including its attachments, in "Argentum Metallic". Passengers enter the passenger compartment through a double-wing, electrically operated outward swivelling door behind the front axle. Like the single-wing rear door, it is powered by the twelve-volt technology of the Sprinter. The passenger compartment has a low-entry design. The "Waves Nazare" designer floor covering of the test vehicle has a friendly look and is simultaneously also easy to clean. Two very shallow steps in front of the rear axle lead to the seating area in the rear.
The Premium Platform Electric, or PPE for short, is a modular platform system designed for battery-electric drive in the B, C & D segments. The battery module is the central element, in the Audi A6 Avant e-tron concept it has a storage capacity of 100 kWh. Thanks to the 800-volt charging technology, energy for a 300-kilometre range can be charged in 10 minutes. PPE will massively accelerate Audi's transformation towards e-mobility via volume and diversity.
