Vayyar, the global leader in 4D imaging radar, is advancing its mission of protecting every life on the road with the auto industry’s first in-cabin safety ‘combo’ solution. Powered by a single sensor, it’s designed to prevent both the “hot car” incidents that have claimed the lives of thousands of children as well as the countless deaths and injuries caused by vehicle occupants neglecting to wear seat belts. By providing OEMs and Tier 1s multifunctionality on a single-chip platform, Vayyar is ensuring affordable, leading-edge safety for all vehicle models. As part of the global effort to improve in-car safety, Euro NCAP is introducing stricter scoring criteria across all protocols, starting in 2023. Child Presence Detection (CPD) will be worth up to four points, while the existing requirement for front and rear Seat Belt Reminders (SBR) will become a precondition for achieving three additional Occupant Status (OS) points. Vayyar’s solution enables vehicles to earn these crucial seven safety points, while enhancing user experience by minimizing false alarms.
The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Saloon - The design
Set off into a new, even more digital and efficient world and welcome home: the newC-Class stands for both, creating a future-proof comfort zone in all dimensions in times of global upheaval. The new C-Class is the first classic model series from Mercedes-Benz to be electrified throughout, thanks to mild hybrids with 48-volt technology and integrated starter-generator as well as plug-in hybrids. Thanks to a highly efficient battery system, it achieves an electric range of around 100 kilometers (WLTP) as a plug-in hybrid. This is unprecedented in this class. At the same time, it sets standards in sustainability. And because the C-Class is one of the company's highest-volume model series, this consistent electrification has a correspondingly large impact on the CO2 footprint. Technical refinements also include special equipment such as DIGITAL LIGHT and rear-axle steering. The sedan and estate will premiere together, can be ordered from March 30 and will arrive at sales partners in summer 2021.

Citroën has unveiled its new flagship large touring car, C5 X, with an original design that combines the elegance of a saloon, the dynamism of an estate car and the elevated stance of an SUV, available in petrol and plug-in hybrid versions. The bold design of the C5 X is inspired by the Cxperience two-box sedan concept first introduced at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. It is a new body shape with particular attention paid to aerodynamics, with a long bonnet, increased ground clearance, and V-shaped light signature at the front and rear making it immediately identifiable as a Citroën.
