The Land Rover Defender - The Exterior Design
The new Defender V8 can also be identified from the outside at first glance, because it shows several elements that are reserved for this model version alone. These include special model emblems, a quadruple exhaust system with distinctive tailpipes and 22-inch alloy wheels with a Satin Dark Gray finish. The Defender V8 also claims an exceptional position thanks to its front brake calipers in Xenon Blue and the 20-inch brake discs. The eight-cylinder also caused a sensation with its engine sound: the careful acoustic coordination of the air intake and exhaust system guarantees a sound that is as determined as it is authentic. The V8 engine provides stimulating accompanying music in every driving situation - not least when the dynamic program is activated in the Terrain Response System. The Defender V8 can be painted in three exterior colors: Carpathian Gray, Yulong White and Santorini Black. In the gray and white paint alternatives, a roof in Narvik Black creates an attractive contrast. Numerous body details in Shadow Atlas round off the unique look of the V8 model
This purist and powerful 375 kW 911 GT3 with a weight of just 1,418 kilograms is delivered with a six-speed GT sports gearbox as standard. For the first time, the Touring package can also be combined with the seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission at no extra cost. Silver-coloured trim strips made of high-gloss anodised aluminium on the side windows are another distinguishing feature that underline the newcomer’s discreet appearance. The front end is painted completely in the exterior colour. The interior, with extended leather items in Black, is particularly elegant and is available exclusively for the GT3 with Touring package. The front of the dashboard and the upper side sections of the door trim panels have special surface embossing.
