"Clear the way for the new Opel Insignia - more modern, more dynamic and more efficient than ever: a few weeks ago, the latest edition of Opel's flagship celebrated its world premiere at the Brussels Motor Show, and it is now available to order as the Grand Sport sedan, Sports Tourer station wagon and top athlete GSi. From as little as €31,790 (all prices UPE incl. VAT), customers will be able to drive Insignia in the future. At an attractive entry-level price, the sedan already comes with quality features such as comfort seats, air conditioning and the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible multimedia radio with color touchscreen. LED front headlights ensure the best visibility in the dark. For the first time, the new Insignia features exclusively full-LED systems in every variant. Assistance systems such as the front collision warning system with pedestrian detection and automatic hazard braking, as well as lane departure and lane departure warning, enhance the safety of passengers and road users in every Insignia. Even in the basic version, the 90 kW/122 hp 1.5-liter turbodiesel ensures superior driving performance. The identically equipped and powered Sports Tourer estate version is available from 32,790 euros. With attractive prices and new, efficient engines, the new Insignia is becoming a central pillar of the "Opel Green Deal" brand campaign currently underway in Germany. This is because the new engine range not only reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, but also allows customers to noticeably cut their fuel costs."

The level of well-being in the interior of the purely electrically powered luxury sedan is largely determined by the degree to which disturbing noises can be kept away from the occupants. There are a variety of potential noise sources to be taken into account here, so near-production prototypes of the BMW i7 – and indeed all other model variants of the future BMW 7 Series – undergo an extensive programme as part of their acoustic testing. At the Research and Innovation Centre (FIZ) in Munich, test and development engineers check the full range of the vehicle’s sound emissions and immissions. Motor and rolling noise are analysed in detail, as are the aeroacoustics and vibration comfort, in order to fully determine the acoustic properties of the new luxury sedans. This also includes precise alignment of acoustic pedestrian protection and the motor sound emitted in the interior of the BMW i7 – the latter having been developed as part of BMW IconicSounds Electric, a collaborative venture between the BMW Group and Hollywood film music composer Hans Zimmer.
