GT3 racer Maro Engel has now impressively demonstrated how close the new Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series really is to motorsport on the Nürburgring Nordschleife: With an officially measured and notarized time of 6:43.616 min for the 20.6-kilometer track (measured without the straight at track section T13) and 6:48.047 min for the 20.832-kilometer overall track (measured with the straight at track section T13), the new V8 bolide is placed in the top group of the "sports car" category with road approval and is number one among completely standard, not retrofitted models.
