McLaren unveils the all-new next-generation high-performance hybrid supercar - the McLaren Artura

The new Artura is unveiled as the first mass-produced High-Performance Hybrid (HPH) supercar The distillation of more than half a century of McLaren's expertise and experience in engineering race and road cars Combines exciting performance, First model to be built on the all-new McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA), uniquely optimized for HPH powertrains and built in-house at the McLaren Composites Technology Center (MCTC) in the Sheffield region The lightweight body with superformed aluminum and carbon fiber has perfect supercar proportions; "Form follows function" design philosophy gives a pure and functional "shrink-wrapped" look Best-in-class power-to-weight ratio of 488 hp/ton (with a minimum dry weight of 1. 395 kg ) Ultra-light engineering makes Artura the lightest car in its class with a curb weight (DIN) of just 1,498 kg The powertrain includes the all-new 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine with electric motor and high energy density battery, producing combined powers of 680 hp (671 bhp) and 720 Nm (530 lb ft)
