A maximum speed of 255mph, an aerodynamic design honed to perfection and race-winning powertrain technology define the Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo SV – the latest all-electric virtual race car developed for Gran Turismo, and built in the real-world as full-scale design study. The Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo Coupé – the first all-electric Jaguar sports car created for the globally-renowned Gran Turismo series revealed in October 2019 – has already proved highly successful, attracting gamers with its radical, heritage-inspired design, driver-focused interior, and outstanding ride and handling. Yet to the team from Jaguar Design, SV and Jaguar Racing, the Vision GT Coupé represented only the starting point for development of the Vision GT SV. It was an opportunity to re-evaluate everything that could improve performance and in doing so, re-think what an electric Jaguar endurance race car could be.
The Audi e-tron GT - materials, colors and equipment
Sportiness and sustainability are not contradictory, but rather their interplay shapes Audi's understanding of luxury in the course of electromobility. The e-tron GT proves this with the leather-free design package. The sports seats plus with 14-way adjustment are upholstered here either in a combination of artificial leather and the fabric Kaskade or in a mix of artificial leather with the microfiber material Dinamica. In both cases, recycled materials are used - such as polyester fibers made from former plastic bottles, textiles or fiber remnants from selvedges. There are 119 recycled plastic bottles in each Kaskade cover set. The Dinamica material bears a resemblance to Alcantara, while the Kaskade fabric, whose seam graphics are based on the look of the single frame, is reminiscent of natural fibers such as wool. The sports seats pro wear a combination of two types of leather as upholstery. The RS design package includes microfiber material on the instrument panel hood, steering wheel and center console trim, with red or gray stitching adding accents. The floor carpet and floor mats in both models are made of Econyl. This material is made of 100 percent recycled nylon fibers from production waste, fabric and carpet scraps or old fishing nets.
