Following the successful launch of the KUSHAQ SUV, the Czech carmaker is expanding its range with a saloon in the A0 segment. Just like the KUSHAQ, the SLAVIA is based on the MQB-A0-IN platform – a variant of Volkswagen Group’s modular transverse matrix specially adapted by ŠKODA AUTO for India. The platform enables the saloon to be equipped with an extensive range of safety features, advanced infotainment systems and one of two powerful yet efficient TSI engines with an output of 85 kW (115 PS) or 110 kW (150 PS). The majority of the development work was carried out at the technology centre in Pune. The name ‘SLAVIA’ builds a bridge between India and the Czech Republic and pays homage to the company’s foundering fathers Václav Laurin and Václav Klement. In 1896, they started to design and sell their own bicycles in Mladá Boleslav under the name SLAVIA; their first motorcycles followed in 1899. Even at the beginning of the 20th century, the name SLAVIA stood for qualities such as reliability, affordability and inventiveness – attributes that still characterise ŠKODA’s brand philosophy today.
Audi RS e-tron GT - Interior design and seating position
The all-electric Gran Turismo gives new impetus to Audi's design language: It is a dynamic sculpture that stands on the road as if modeled from a full volume. Passengers in the rear can place their feet in this so-called foot garage and thus adopt a lower seating position - with generous headroom despite the flat roofline. In combination with the wheel arches with up to 21-inch rims and the 2.90-meter wheelbase, this solution ensures ideal proportions and gives the high-performance GT exceptional presence on the road.
Volkswagen is taking the next big step towards becoming a software-oriented mobility provider with its ACCELERATE strategy. Effective immediately, all ID. models will receive regular software updates via mobile data transfer. The updates had previously only been available as part of a test phase for customers who had registered with the “ID. First Movers Club”. The “ID. Software 2.3” offers new functions and optimises existing ones. Networking the entire ID. fleet will allow Volkswagen to lay the foundation for new, customer-oriented business models. Thus far, Volkswagen remains the only high-volume manufacturer to provide this technology for its customers.
BMW Motorrad Italy announces the start of a new project aimed at involving its customers in the adventurous and spectacular world of off-road vehicles seen from behind the handlebars of a BMW GS. After having introduced in the now distant 2006 with the GS Academy an innovative approach to off-road format, designed for maxi enduro and calibrated to the needs of a customer who did not want to limit his touring experience on two wheels to just the asphalt languages, BMW Motorrad Italia today renews and diversifies its offer. Under the umbrella of the experiential project named Spirit of GS, BMW Motorrad's offers dedicated to off-road driving are now two and are based on two excellent partnerships: Blue Bike Camp and Enduro Republic. The GS Academy continues, which in its first 15 years of presence has totaled over 1,700 participants, but is renewed in form and content. The GS Academy will be supervised by the expert instructors of Blue Bike Camp led by Daniele Madrigali, several times world champion as a team manager in the world of enduro.
