New entry-level models with plug-in hybrid drive for the BMW 3 Series and BMW 5 Series

Pioneering energy efficiency, convincing economy and brand-typical driving pleasure are combined in the new plug-in hybrid entry-level models of the BMW 3 Series and BMW 5 Series. From March 2021, both model series will each be supplemented by two further models with electrified drive. The new model variants of the BMW 3 Series Sedan and BMW 3 Series Touring and the BMW 5 Series Sedan and BMW 5 Series Touring will use the fourth generation of BMW eDrive technology. The new plug-in hybrid models in the BMW 3 Series and BMW 5 Series offer ideal conditions for attracting additional target groups to electric mobility. In the BMW 3 Series alone, there will already be four plug-in hybrid models to choose from in the future, three of which will also be optionally available with BMW xDrive. The BMW 5 Series will then include as many as five models that combine characteristic sportiness, suitability for everyday use and travel with the option of locally emission-free driving. Three of them feature intelligent all-wheel drive as standard or as an option.
