Design icon meets future: the Volvo P1800 and the recently launched Volvo C40 Recharge are six decades apart, but an extraordinary design unites the two. The legendary sports coupé, which is now celebrating its 60th birthday, provided ideas for the design of the robust crossover model based on SUVs with coupé-like lines. At the end of 2021, the Volvo C40 Recharge will roll onto the streets, which will be the first Volvo series to be driven exclusively by a fully electric drive and to be sold exclusively online - this means that the vehicle has the potential to write a new, important chapter in the company's history.
New Hyundai Santa Fe Infotainment
2021 Santa Fe now offers three new and improved powertrain options. The standard powertrain is a Smartstream 2.5-liter direct-injected (DI) and multi-point injected (MPI) four-cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, replacing the former 2.4-liter engine. This standard four-cylinder engine produces an estimated 191 horsepower at 6,100 rpm and an estimated 182 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,000 rpm for effortless driving in a wide variety of conditions. The powertrain also features Idle, Stop and Go (ISG) capability to maximize efficiency in various heavy traffic conditions. The new 2.5-liter engine fuel economy is targeted to increase approximately eight percent over the 2020 powertrain from these improvements.
With the third generation of the Kangoo, Renault is redefining the concept of the station wagon. Just as the first Kangoo set new standards for the then still young vehicle segment over 20 years ago, the current edition also has a wealth of innovations that continue the Kangoo's role as a pioneer in its class. The new Kangoo stands out from the competition with its high-quality design, modern driver assistance systems in series, networked on-board infotainment and exemplary space.
In many ways, the Volvo C40 Recharge represents the future of Volvo Cars: it is the first Volvo model in history designed as pure electric only, and will be offered online with a convenient Care offer. Its SUV elements and benefits combined with a lower profile means that Volvo Cars also enters a new segment – and it does so with cutting-edge design and features not previously seen on Volvo cars. Built upon the fundamental building blocks of the XC40, the C40 gives the same sense of power and strong character as its sibling while adding athleticism and lightness. This idea of breaking new ground with something familiar is mirrored in individual details: the signature Thor’s Hammer headlights are augmented with new pixel LEDs, which automatically adjust to light conditions and switch on and off independently to optimise the light pattern. The equally emblematic vertical rear lights are now segmented, providing a testament to the engineering challenge of extending one big lamp along the roof line, while also creating a modern take on a classic design.
