Starting signal for a new era: building on the Subaru Global Platform, the Subaru Forester rolls into its fifth model generation. In addition to the new vehicle architecture, which provides more space and safety, the e-Boxer makes its way into the classic SUV. The mild hybrid system provides electric assistance to the 110 kW/150 hp Boxer gasoline engine, improving driving pleasure and drive comfort and reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. In conjunction with the permanent all-wheel drive system, the Forester continues to cut a fine figure off paved roads: active torque distribution and the X-Mode all-wheel drive management system ensure the best traction on any surface, while the increased ground clearance and underride protection create the necessary conditions for off-road driving.

Efficient, emotive and electrifying – these attributes neatly sum up the ENYAQ iV. In launching its first all-electric SUV, the Czech car manufacturer has taken the biggest step yet in its electromobility strategy. The new ENYAQ iV is the first ŠKODA production model to be based on Volkswagen Group’s MEB modular electric car platform. It is built at ŠKODA’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav, making it the only MEB-based model in Europe to be manufactured outside of Germany. ŠKODA’s new flagship boasts generous amounts of space as is typical of the brand, and – thanks to its emotive design language – its appearance is electrifying too. Inside, new Design Selections replace the classic trim levels, while a clear and new structure of the options available means the car can be configured with just a few clicks. The ENYAQ iV comes with rear- or all-wheel drive, and there are five power levels and three battery sizes to choose from. The range of more than 520 km in the WLTP cycle is perfectly suitable for travelling long distances. The car will be launched in the spring of 2021.

The Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand is accelerating its electrification push with the ACCELERATE strategy with the aim to make more sustainable mobility accessible to even more people. In 2025, two years earlier than originally planned, a new model in Volkswagen’s electrified portfolio is expected to enter the small car segment with a starting price of around 20,000 euros. Called ID. LIFE, Volkswagen presented a concept version of the compact crossover at the International Motor Show IAA MOBILITY 2021 in Munich. The vision of a fully electric small car for urban areas focuses on people and shared experiences. It combines more sustainable elements and digitalization with an exceptionally flexible usage approach. For example, the ID. LIFE concept could be used as a cinema, gaming center or simply to relax in the open air.
