Chevrolet expanded its electric vehicle portfolio with the introduction of the new, all-electric 2022 Bolt EUV, alongside the redesigned 2022 Bolt EV. Distinguished by unique exterior designs, including an SUV-like proportion for the new Bolt EUV, each is propelled by the proven technology that helped make the Bolt EV the industry’s first affordable, long-range electric vehicle — and both are part of General Motors’ plan to launch 30 new EVs globally by 2025. Along with broadening the brand’s electric vehicle lineup, the Bolt EUV will also be the first Chevrolet vehicle to offer Super Cruise1, the industry’s first true hands-free driver assistance system for enabled roads. Chevrolet is also making charging more convenient with a new Dual Level Charge Cord, which, for many customers, will eliminate the need to purchase a separate charger for their home. It has a changeable plug that allows the customer to plug into a standard 120-volt three-prong outlet for Level charging and a 240-volt outlet for Level 2 charging up to 7.2 kilowatts. The new Dual Level Charge Cord is standard with Bolt EUV and is available for Bolt EV. For maximum Level 2 charging speed, both vehicles are now capable of 11 kW Level 2 charging, but separate charging equipment (not included) is required.
New SsangYong - Dynamic design, extensive equipment
The Korando, which has only been available for a few weeks, heralds a new era: Packaged in a powerful, more dynamic design, the model, which has grown to 4.45 meters, drives forward with an ultra-modern interior including a digital control interface, advanced safety systems and the highest level of comfort - and even as standard. Even the entry-level "Crystal" version, for example, has an extensive arsenal of driver assistants: In addition to an automatic emergency braking system (AEBS), the standard equipment includes front collision and distance warning, rollover protection, lane departure warning and lane departure warning, traffic sign and drowsiness detection, hill descent and hill start assist, and a high-beam assistant. Air conditioning, light and rain sensors, power-adjustable, folding and heated exterior mirrors, power windows in both rows of seats, a multifunction steering wheel and cruise control are also always on board. Higher trim levels add parking aids, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, a smart audio system with eight-inch touchscreen and smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and other safety systems such as cross-traffic alert, blind spot and lane change assist. LED headlights and fog lights complement the standard LED daytime running lights, giving the Korando a distinctive appearance even at night.
The Qashqai, which is regarded as a pioneer in the crossover segment, is once again setting standards: the compact bestseller is the first Nissan model in Europe to feature the unique e-POWER drive. The system, which was developed independently by the company, offers the advantages of purely electric driving without having to worry about range and long charging times. In contrast to conventional hybrid vehicles, the electric motor, which responds immediately and linearly, always drives the wheels. The energy is supplied by a battery, which a small combustion engine charges while driving.
The ID.4’s exterior has athletic proportions for an ultra-modern appearance. Its clear, flowing design is inspired by nature and guarantees very good aerodynamics with a drag coefficient of 0.28.Its basic version already features headlights that are almost completely equipped with light-emitting diodes while its tail light clusters have been fully equipped with this technology. As the top-of-the-range version, interactive IQ.Light LED matrix headlights are even more progressive: they welcome drivers with swivelling lens modules and generate an intelligently controlled main beam. These headlights have been paired with the new 3D LED tail light clusters. Their tail light is particularly homogeneous and lights up in an intensive red. The large wheels with a diameter of up to 21 inches underline the vehicle’s character.
