Sauber is one of the few Formula 1 teams to have its own wind tunnel. The facility, located in Hinwil, Switzerland, is one of the most efficient in Europe and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. For Alfa Romeo, the advantages of working with Sauber lie in the rapid production of prototypes and ultimately the series production of these components. The new aerodynamic components for the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA and Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm models are manufactured by Sauber from carbon fiber. They include the front bumper, side skirts, diffuser, rear spoiler on the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA and the large rear wing on the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm. The aerodynamics of the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm can be adjusted to meet the specific needs of different drivers thanks to the manual adjustment options for the front splitter and rear wing. The result is a stunning automobile, both aesthetically and in terms of performance. The engine of the two special models is a V6 biturbo gasoline engine with a displacement of 2.9 liters, made almost entirely of aluminum. With an output of 397 kW (540 hp), it enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds with Launch Control switched on.
