The new BMW 540i xDrive Sedan Highlights

In addition to a 390 kW/530 hp V8 engine in the top-of-the-range BMW M550i xDrive Sedan, there is a choice of three petrol and three diesel engines for the new BMW 5 Series with a power range between 135 kW/184 hp and 250 kW/340 hp. The efficiency of the gasoline engines is optimized by gasoline direct injection operating at increased pressure. The two-stage turbocharging now used in all diesel engines enhances spontaneous power delivery. All engines are combined with an 8-speed Steptronic transmission as standard. BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive is available as standard or optional equipment for all model variants except the entry-level gasoline engine.

The ID. LIFE is based on a smaller variant of Volkswagen’s modular electric drive matrix (MEB) that has been developed specifically for the small car segment. It is the first all-electric Volkswagen on the MEB platform to transmit its drive power to the road via the front wheels. Front-wheel drive opens up additional potential for highly efficient use of interior space in a compact surface area. The front-mounted electric motor in the ID. LIFE generates a maximum output of 172 kW (234 PS), accelerating the compact five-door model from a standstill to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. In the underbody of the ID. LIFE there is space for a high-voltage battery whose energy content of 57 kWh enables a range of approximately 400 kilometres according to the WLTP. Thanks to modern charging technology, the range of the ID. LIFE can be increased by up to 163 kilometres within ten minutes when stopping at a DC charging station en route.

The Premium Platform Electric, or PPE for short, is a modular platform system designed for battery-electric drive in the B, C & D segments. The battery module is the central element, in the Audi A6 Avant e-tron concept it has a storage capacity of 100 kWh. Thanks to the 800-volt charging technology, energy for a 300-kilometre range can be charged in 10 minutes. PPE will massively accelerate Audi's transformation towards e-mobility via volume and diversity.

Nissan revealed the all-new 2023 Z sports car in a global broadcast from Brooklyn’s Duggal Greenhouse, about five miles from where the original 1970 Datsun 240Z made its world debut in October 1969. While the six previous generations of Nissan’s iconic sports car all offered numeric designations, the long-awaited redesign will be known in the United States simply by just one letter – Z. The 2023 Z offers a sleek, attractive exterior with a silhouette that shows respect for the original model – with a long hood and low rear stance. Inside, the driver-centric cockpit includes a 12.3-inch customizable racing-inspired meter display, available leather-appointed sports seats and 8-speaker Bose® audio system. All 2023 Nissan Z models are equipped with a 400-horsepower 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine and choice of 6-speed manual transmission with motorsports-inspired EXEDY® high-performance clutch, or a new 9-speed automatic transmission with aluminum paddle shifters. The 2023 Z is offered in Sport and Performance grade levels and a special ""Proto Spec” edition, which is limited to 240 units.
