Like the conventionally powered variant, which was the first model from the premium brand to be voted "Europe's Car of the Year," the electric vehicle is based on the compact modular architecture (CMA). The flexible platform allowed easy integration of the high-voltage battery and the other electric drive components without compromising the generous, versatile interior space. The elimination of the combustion engine even creates additional storage space under the front hood.
