"In the seventh edition of the ŠKODA Apprentice Car, the 31 apprentices involved in the project, including five women, used the ŠKODA SCALA as the basis for their very own dream car for the first time. They transformed the compact one Hatchback model in a particularly sporty Spider. They gave it the name SLAVIA and, in the 125th anniversary year of ŠKODA AUTO, are reminiscent of the first bicycles produced by the company founders Václav Laurin and Václav Klement Distinctive and inspiring design with precise lines and sculptural surfaces for a sporty and emotional appearance. The matching dynamics are provided by the ŠKODA SLAVIA's 1.5 TSI petrol engine with 110 kW (150 PS) and the 7-speed DSG known from the SCALA. The front and rear axles, steering, all electronics including cabling and assistants have also been adopted from the production model systems. In addition, the instrument panel, the virtual cockpit and the infotainment system remained untouched. "
