The new Kia Sorento, recently awarded the “Golden Steering Wheel 2020” in the “Large SUVs” class, is also one of the outstanding models in its segment when it comes to safety. In the official European safety test Euro NCAP it now received the top rating of "5 stars". The Kia flagship achieved high scores in the individual test categories: 82 percent for occupant protection for adults, 85 percent for occupant protection for children, 63 percent for pedestrian protection and 87 percent for driver support through safety systems. The test result applies to all three drive variants including the Sorento Plug-in Hybrid, which will be launched in the first quarter of 2021 and can already be ordered now. The fourth generation of the Kia SUV has been on the market as a hybrid gasoline and diesel engine since October. The stability of the passenger cell, which also effectively protects all critical areas of the body of up to seven occupants, was rated particularly positively. The restraint systems and head restraints also proved their efficiency in the rear impact test by providing effective protection against head and neck injuries. The completely redesigned body of the Sorento consists largely of ultra-high-strength steel. Their torsional stiffness is 12.5 percent higher than that of the competitor that is perceived as the “safety leader” in this segment. The seven airbags fitted as standard include a new center airbag between the front seats, which is intended to prevent the driver and front passenger from hitting their heads in a collision

With the Concept CE 02, BMW Motorrad is presenting a new interpretation of smart, urban single-track mobility one week before the IAA Mobility 2021. The electric vehicle concept, which is neither a classic motorcycle nor a scooter, is an exciting and highly emotional mobility offer. With its compact dimensions and youthful proportions, it also clearly appeals to a new target group: people aged 16 and over, who have not ridden a motorbike before but are open to new experiences, smart technology and, above all, combining mobility with fun. As a lightweight e-vehicle weighing about 120 kg, the BMW Motorrad Concept CE 02 is ideal for urban use, offering a high fun factor as well as straightforward yet stylish commuting. The 11 kW of output and all the torque available from standstill allow for fast acceleration at traffic lights. A top speed of 90 km/h and a range of 90 km make it easy to get from A to B – and back again – even in heavy city traffic.
Conceived from the outset for purely electric mobility, the iX sees BMW redefining the successful Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) concept.
