With the optional DRIVE PILOT, the EQS will be able to drive in conditionally automated mode at up to 60 km/h where traffic density is high or in tailbacks on suitable motorway sections, initially in Germany. This takes the strain off the driver and gives them time to do other things, such as browsing the web or attending to emails in the In-Car Office.
Production of the ŠKODA OCTAVIA at the Mladá Boleslav plant
This ŠKODA AUTO video delivers great insight into the production of the new ŠKODA OCTAVIA. The Czech car manufacturer produces the fourth generation of its bestseller on a radically modernised assembly line at its headquarters in Mladá Boleslav. It is the only line in the entire Volkswagen Group on which vehicles based on the MEB modular electric car platform and the MQB modular transverse matrix can be built alongside one another. Every day, ŠKODA AUTO manufactures 1,150 units of its bestseller, the OCTAVIA, in Mladá Boleslav. Most recently, the Czech carmaker made major changes to this assembly line. In doing so, the company has created the conditions required to produce up to 350 units of the ENYAQ iV each day alongside the OCTAVIA. This allows ŠKODA to react quickly to customer demand for the respective model ranges. The car manufacturer is placing great emphasis on production being supported by state-of-the-art robots. They are used for tasks that are physically demanding for the workforce, and contribute to making the workstations even more ergonomic.
Nissan revealed the all-new 2023 Z sports car in a global broadcast from Brooklyn’s Duggal Greenhouse, about five miles from where the original 1970 Datsun 240Z made its world debut in October 1969. While the six previous generations of Nissan’s iconic sports car all offered numeric designations, the long-awaited redesign will be known in the United States simply by just one letter – Z. The 2023 Z offers a sleek, attractive exterior with a silhouette that shows respect for the original model – with a long hood and low rear stance. Inside, the driver-centric cockpit includes a 12.3-inch customizable racing-inspired meter display, available leather-appointed sports seats and 8-speaker Bose® audio system. All 2023 Nissan Z models are equipped with a 400-horsepower 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine and choice of 6-speed manual transmission with motorsports-inspired EXEDY® high-performance clutch, or a new 9-speed automatic transmission with aluminum paddle shifters. The 2023 Z is offered in Sport and Performance grade levels and a special "Proto Spec” edition, which is limited to 240 units.
