Volvo wins the big readers' poll for Company Car of the Year. The business class models Volvo V90 and Volvo S90 were jointly voted first in the import ranking in the “upper middle class” category. The readers' choice for the “Auto Bild Firmenwagen Award” took place for the third time this year. The readers of Europe's largest car magazine were able to vote for their favorites in nine categories, from which a “German” and an “import winner” were chosen. Both models of the Volvo 90 series convince in business and private use with extensive comfort and safety equipment. In addition, they set standards in terms of aesthetics, materials and workmanship without compromising everyday functionality. The EQE features a sporty 'purpose design' with all the characteristic elements of Mercedes-EQ, one-bow lines and cab-forward design. Sensual Purity is reflected in generously modelled surfaces, reduced joints and seamless transitions (seamless design). The overhangs and the front end are kept short, the rear provides the dynamic accent with a sharp rear spoiler. Flush with the outer edge of the body, the 19- to 21‑inch wheels, together with a pronounced muscular shoulder section, give the EQE an athletic character. Compared to the luxury liner EQS, the EQE is even more streamlined, with a slightly shorter wheelbase, shorter overhangs and more recessed flanks - it carries the concept of the business saloon into the future. The sporty, low and slim front of the EQE forms a coupé-like silhouette with a bow (one bow) stretched tightly over the greenhouse. The A-pillar, which has been moved far forward, and the C-pillar at the rear create space for a generous passenger compartment. Unique in this segment is the cab-forward design: The overhangs and the front-end assembly are short, the rear forms a dynamic accent with a sharp rear spoiler. Flush with the outer edge of the body, wheels of around 725 mm in size on 19- to 21-inch rims, together with a muscular shoulder section, give the EQE an athletic character.

Kia EV6 Exterior Design in Deep Forest

The EV6 was designed under the brand’s new design philosophy, ‘Opposites United’, which takes inspiration from the contrasts found in nature and humanity. At the centre of the design philosophy is a new visual identity evoking positive forces and natural energy, with contrasting combinations of sharp stylistic elements and sculptural shapes. Karim Habib, Senior Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design Center, elaborated: “EV6, as the first dedicated Kia EV, is a showcase of human-centred, progressive design and electrified power. We strongly believe EV6 is a compelling and relevant model for the new EV era. With EV6, we aimed to create a distinctive, impactful design by using a combination of sophisticated, high-tech features on pure and rich volumes while providing a dedicated EV aiming to define our future.” Designed to deliver something different in the crossover class, the GT version of the EV6 offers a distinctive, impactful exterior with high-tech features, as well as unprecedented levels of performance from a Kia electric vehicle. At the front, Kia’s ‘tiger face’ has been re-interpreted for the digital era. Forming part of this ‘Digital Tiger Face’, daytime running lights display a sleek, modern appearance and include a ‘sequential’ dynamic light pattern. Below this, a low air intake visually widens the front of the car, accentuating its high-tech image. The side profile displays a crossover-inspired silhouette, which is modern, sleek and aerodynamic. A character line runs along the bottom of the doors, curving upwards towards the rear wheel arches to visually elongate the profile of the car. Designed in part to realise ultimate aerodynamic performance, the rear displays a sloping C-pillar with an integrated black glossy insert which appears to extend the window glass. Above this sits a prominent wing-type roof spoiler that channels air downwards towards a raised lower spoiler, which sits atop the car’s unique rear light cluster

Vauxhall Mokka-E Design Preview

A car designed to arouse emotions and show the way forward for the brand, the new Vauxhall Mokka is the first to wear the new brand face, the Vauxhall Vizor. The same goes for the redesigned Opel Blitz lightning bolt emblem and the centrally aligned model name at the rear. The new Mokka is also the first Vauxhall with the Pure Panel and a fully digitised cockpit. In addition, it is the first Vauxhall available at the start of the sales with electric drive as well as highly efficient combustion engines. The new Vauxhall Mokka can be ordered now at an attractive entry-level price of €19,990 (all prices RRP including VAT in Germany).
