FIA Pure Motorsport: The Restart Episode 2 - European Truck Racing Championship looks hopefully to the 2021 season

Source: World of Freesports (Glomex)

The FIA European Truck Racing Championship is a true motorsport spectacle: The drivers challenge each other on the race track with heavy machines equipped with more than 1,200 HP and 5 tons. Unfortunately, the 2020 season had to be shortened due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, this year 16 teams will race on the track opposite and fight for the European Championship title! Not only four former champions will take part in the races, but also the currently most successful FIA Championship driver, Steffi Halm, as well as two youngsters: the only 16-year-old Czech Aliyyah Koloc and the 19-year-old Frenchman Teo Calvet. All drivers are united by one goal: to defeat the 6-time European champion Jochen Hahn from Germany. He has been racing on the track for 20 years and only last year, with a total of 13 victories, showed that he can still dominate the championship. This year, however, he has a particularly demanding season ahead of him: Nobert Kiss, Adam Lacko and Sascha Lenz won the three races held so far. Unfortunately, the season finale in Misano, Italy, had to be cancelled due to Covid-19. The FIA Truck Racing Commission then had to decide that no FIA ETRC title will be awarded this year due to a lack of races. The FIA and the Championship Promoter have intensified their efforts for a successful 2021 season and have already published the race calendar: http://www.fiaetrc.com/news/681/2021-fia-etrc-calendar-revealed
