BMW #NEXTGen 2020 - Deep Dive Artificial Intelligence
The prerequisite for every application of artificial intelligence is a comprehensive database. In order to be able to depict traffic events virtually in the driving simulation center and, in the next step, to make BMW Group vehicles fit for automated driving, the real road network and traffic events must first be digitized. The basis for the Data-Driven Development is therefore the data that is brought in worldwide by the vehicles of the BMW Group Automated Driving Test Fleet and - since the end of 2019 - also data from vehicles of BMW Group customers who had agreed to the passing on and processing of this anonymous information.
