The all-electric Mazda MX-30 was awarded the maximum five-star rating by Euro NCAP in its latest test series. Mazda's electric Mazda MX-30 received the maximum score for safety in side impact tests and in crash tests with children in frontal and side impact. After the Mazda CX-5 in 2017, the Mazda6 in 2018 and the Mazda3 and Mazda CX-30 last year, the MX-30 is the fifth Mazda model to achieve an overall five-star rating. The MX-30 is the first Mazda to achieve five stars under the new, even stricter Euro NCAP test conditions 2020. This year, for example, a new movable barrier was introduced for the frontal crash test and the speed and mass of the obstacle in the side impact test was increased. In all four Euro NCAP test categories, the Mazda MX-30 scored impressive scores: In the adult occupant protection category, the electric vehicle scored 91 percent of total points, the best result in the current NCAP tests in 2020. The protection of children is also at a very high level at 87 percent, with 68 percent of the points scored in the protection of vulnerable road users (pedestrian safety) and 73 percent for safety assistants.
